Utilities
have realized the importance of GIS mapping and the
ease GIS systems provide in effectively tracking and
monitoring the Electrical networks.
CSSTL offers GIS mapping, GIS application software
integration and development in a customized manner to
suit the requirements of Utilities. The GIS maps/data
are tightly integrated with the EBAS suite, to provide
an in-depth graphical view at every focal point in the
electrical network system.
GIS activity is performed in a cohesive manner after
Network asset and consumer data survey is completed.
The land base maps are
required as a background for creation of electrical
network and locating/identifying all the entities of
Utilities. Where these base maps
are not available, the local development authority shall
be approached for maps in print form. These maps may
be digitized as per requirement and serve as base maps.
Relevant parcels such as the
streets, lanes, by-lanes, main landmarks, major buildings,
places of worship, Educational institutions, financial
institutes, cinema halls etc. are identified and the
electrical network entities are linked to these parcels
in the GIS maps.
The GIS maps and customized GIS application software
are integrated with the EBAS suite

analyze the information to:
- Improve asset tracking, utilization and maintenance
- Improve customer service through
- Deployment of transformers
- Exception handling (in case of failures)
- Trouble call resolution and complaint handling
